Captain Carlos Parks is a native of Montgomery, Alabama, and graduated from George Washington Carver High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps, where he received an honorable discharge. Cpt. Parks began his career in corrections with the Alabama Department of Corrections and later joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in 1998.
Cpt. Parks is responsible for operations and security of the Montgomery County Detention Facility. He supervises the security operations of the facility, as well as coordinates the training and administrative bureaus. He is a facilitator for jail management courses taught throughout the state and holds several accreditations as an instructor in the use of force and field training certifications.
