INCOMING MAIL
All written incoming non-privileged inmate mail must contain the following information to be accepted:
Return address which includes
Full name,
street address,
city, state, and zip code.
Incoming mail must be addressed to the inmate using full name and Booking Number.
Example:
John M. Doe (No nicknames)
Booking# (print booking #) MCDF

All mail “NOT LABELED” correctly will be “Returned to Sender.” Mail with no return address will be destroyed. The Mac Sim Butler Detention Facility is not obligated nor required to pay “Postage Due” for any mail.
MAIL RECEIVED AFTER THE INMATE HAS DEPARTED
Mail received after the inmate is released from the Mac Sim Butler Detention Facility will be stamped “Return to Sender, No longer here” and will be returned to sender.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS
Inmates are not allowed magazines or hard copy books. Books not in the library may be sent directly from the publisher, not from a seller. With approval from Administration, family member may be allowed to purchase two (2) publications every six (6) months, per inmate. Only after permission has be granted to the inmate. on any incoming mail. Mail asking of this request will be rejected / declined. Books sent without following the proper channels will be rejected.
ON-SITE VIDEO VISITATION RULES AND HOURS
Video visitation is conducted using the video terminals located in the facility’s visitation center.
Inmates at the Montgomery County Jail are allowed visitation through the Video Visitation Program. All visits must be registered and scheduled at https://thevisitor.icsenforcer.com. All visits must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance, but no more than a week in advance. Only approved visitors are allowed to visit. No more than 4 visitors are allowed per inmate. The schedule for visitation is as follows:
Saturday – Sunday
8:00am – 11:00am
12:00pm– 5:00pm
ALL VIDEO VISITATION IS MONITORED AND RECORDED.
All visitors must be appropriately dressed (i.e., No Sheer/translucent clothing’s. No halter tops. No tights or low-cut shirts are allowed). All Civilians improperly dressed will be denied visitation.
All visitors must display appropriate behavior during any visit. Vulgar language is not permitted. Any inmate or visitor displaying inappropriate behavior will forfeit their visit and subjected to suspension of visitation for an unspecified amount of time. Each visitor ages 16 & up will be permitted one (1) thirty (30) minute visitation period each week. All visitors ages 16 or older must show photo identification and be appropriately dressed (i.e., no halters, short shorts, see-through tops, etc.). Visitors 12 and under, is considered a child and must visit at the same time of the guardian listed.

CLERGY: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am -11:00am
LEGAL (ATTORNEY): Daily from 8:00am -11:00am or 2:30pm - 4:00pm or 6:00pm - 9:00 pm
